Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School reside in on-campus student homes, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and care for groups of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, budgeting, and household reporting. The role begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement to a fixed student home. Relocation to Hershey, PA is provided as part of the package, along with comprehensive benefits and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for married couple
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- No more than three dependent children in home
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No alcohol on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds
