Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School. A two-person, married-couple role providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students in a home setting. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person, comprehensive health benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and PTO. For consideration, both spouses must complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse role must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Able to become certified to drive student home vans
- Proven integrity and professionalism
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Ability to lead daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
