Student Support Associate - Level II/III

Job Summary
Student Support Associate II/III assists classroom teachers to help students develop academic and social skills, supports IEP/IEP Health or Behavior plans under supervision, provides personal hygiene assistance, mobility support, prepares teaching aids, implements behavior strategies, reinforces positive behavior, communicates with teachers and families, and participates in professional development. Requires patience, reliability, and ability to work with diverse learners in a school setting; duties include supervising students, safety, recordkeeping, and collaboration with the instructional team to promote inclusive, supportive learning environments.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with students preferred but not required
- Experience in school special education department or related experience preferred but not required
- Experience working with behavior and learning challenged students
- Willingness to participate in CPI training (preferred)
- CPR/First Aid certifications (preferred)
- Mandatory Reporting training (preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds with assistance (physical demands)
