Job Summary
Join OneSchool Global as a Student Support Assistant at the Vancouver Campus (Langley, BC). You’ll support students with varying needs, leveraging behavior-management and task-analysis techniques, interacting effectively with students, and applying POPARD-trained approaches for ASD. Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 graduation
- Special Education Teacher Assistant Certificate or equivalent training/experience
- POPARD training on ASD and ABA
- Ability to meet varying academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students
- Ability to interact effectively with the students
- Ability to communicate effectively using tact, discretion, and diplomacy in contacts of a difficult or specialized nature
- Ability to determine, judge and select appropriate course of action within limits of established methods and procedures
- Working knowledge of behaviour management techniques and task analysis techniques
- Basic knowledge of computers
- Physical ability to perform the required duties
- Completion of POPARD training on ASD and ABA (required for term/continuing positions)
