Job Summary
Host regular success coaching meetings with all enrolled students to monitor well-being and academic persistence while serving as the primary resource for second-year students and beyond. Partner with faculty, the Registrar, and the spiritual care team to address student needs, implement early-intervention systems, and analyze persistence data. Provide executive oversight for student governance, clubs, housing logistics, and international student support, while assisting learners in understanding financial accounts. Design and execute New Student and All-Student Orientations to welcome learners into the LSTC community, ensuring remote students are integrated into self-paced or real-time digital environments. This role reports to the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Experience, supporting a seminary dedicated to social justice, racial equity, and LGBTQIA+ inclusion within the Hyde Park neighborhood.
Required Qualifications
- A master's degree in student affairs, higher education leadership, or a relevant area of study
- Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive leadership or professional experience in student affairs, academic coaching, or chaplaincy
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g. Slate)
- A strong understanding of digital platforms used to support online and hybrid learning communities
- An understanding of the Lutheran tradition
- A firm commitment to social justice and authentic diversity
- Proven ability to mentor student leaders
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments in a small, mission-driven environment
