Student Success Coach (Part-Time)

Job Summary
Meet students on a regular basis to address retention concerns, including those on academic probation or at-risk status. Work directly with students needing assistance with campus and classroom accessibility while coaching them in time management, study strategies, and organizational skills. Create and implement Academic Recovery Plans for students struggling due to extenuating circumstances and assist in overseeing Testing Center operations for academic accommodations. Establish relationships with students, staff, and faculty through campus events and workshops. This role supports Covenant College's residential community through discipleship and academic success efforts for the general student population.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience working with college students to assist in strategizing a thorough developmental and educational plan for improvement
- Experience facilitating meetings with young adults for the purpose of nurturing Christian discipleship
- An acceptance of and commitment to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord
- An understanding of the mission and purpose of Covenant College
- Must be able to assent to Covenant College's Staff Commitments
- Must be able to lift 15 lbs
- Fluent and conversant using the English language
- Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm hours
- Occasional evening and weekend work
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate degree or working towards a graduate degree within a related field
- Experience working with academically at-risk college students
- Experience working in a Christian higher education or non-profit environment
- Experience as a sign language interpreter
