Job Summary
Student Success Coach role focusing on supporting at-risk students through individualized coaching, time-management and study-skill instruction, development of student success plans, and navigation of campus resources. Responsibilities include managing a caseload (including grant program participants), providing coaching to boost self-efficacy and persistence, coordinating wraparound services (mentoring, counseling, tutoring), serving as liaison to campus systems, engaging students in goal-setting for retention, utilizing predictive analytics to identify needs and coordinate support, participating in retention referrals and case management, maintaining records, and contributing to athletic program operations as an athletic head or assistant coach. Requires experience in learning theory, advising, and retention strategies; familiarity with intercollegiate athletics; strong communication and data-driven decision-making skills; ability to obtain certification to administer exams (Pearson VUE, CLEP, DSST). Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience assessing student learning needs or in a related role
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
- Licenses & Certifications: Ability to obtain certification to administer Pearson VUE, CLEP, and DSST exams within 3–6 months of hire (preferred)
