Job Summary
Develop Student Success Plans and behavioral interventions for students in general and special education programs. Conduct ongoing assessments, co-facilitate iCARE Team meetings, and serve as the building data manager for Student Success Plans. Provide training to teachers and staff on evidence-based strategies, assist with Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) implementation, and support families in accessing community resources. Deliver professional development workshops, track behavioral data, and mentor students through positive youth development activities.
Required Qualifications
- Two (2) years of college (Minimum of 48 Semester Hours, or 72 Quarter Hours), or possess an Associate's Degree
- Passed the Praxis Paraprofessional Assessment Exam
- Valid Educational Aide Permit
- Knowledge of research related to social and emotional student support and interventions
- Experience planning and conducting professional development / training
- Demonstrated leadership and project organizational skills (planning, implementing, evaluation)
- Ability to work collaboratively with various groups and gain consensus related to project implementation and other problem solving
- Experience in data-based decision making
- Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills with individuals, teams, and groups (teachers, families, administrators, support staff and community)
- Ability to communicate both verbally and written in order to communicate with others inside and outside of the organization, for the purpose of giving and obtaining information
- Basic computer proficiency and the ability to effectively use Google and Gmail
- Use of good judgment to make decisions on recurring assignments
- Ability to communicate effectively with a supervisor when their discretion is needed
- Display a significant degree of professionalism and confidentiality
- Ability to conform to proper standards of professional dress and appearance
- Knowledge of the district's mission, vision, goals and strategies
- May require attendance or participation at some weekend or evening meetings/events
