Job Summary
Student Success Advisor at Walden University on a hybrid schedule (four in-office days per week). Responsibilities include guiding and supporting online students to stay on track with their educational goals; connect with new students after admission; assist with understanding and completing degree requirements and course registrations; advise on university policies and program requirements; provide proactive outreach to students at risk of not meeting satisfactory academic progress; monitor and develop strategies to improve academic success; coordinate with university staff to address student inquiries promptly while upholding academic integrity and university policies; empower students to maintain connections to the university community. This role is designated Campus Security Authority. Salary range is disclosed as $24.00-$27.50 per hour, with actual pay adjusted by factors such as experience and location; benefits include health/dental/vision/life insurance, 401k with 6% match, vacation, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- 3 years of experience in a service-oriented environment or university setting
- Strong problem solving and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to multi-task
- Familiarity with online learning and Internet technology a plus
- Self-starter
- Creative, innovative, able to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to adapt to new and rapidly changing situations
