Job Summary
Coordinate and implement a comprehensive calendar of cohort-based programs and events supporting student transition and connection from pre-arrival through the end of the first year. Recruit, hire, train, and supervise student staff and peer leaders while providing ongoing coaching and performance evaluations. Manage budgets for purchasing, expense tracking, and forecasting; prepare program reports and assessments for institutional reporting. Serve as a primary connector between students and external community organizations, cultivating partnerships to expand resource access and providing individualized mentoring and referrals. Work evenings and weekends during orientation and peak programming cycles.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in student affairs, first-year programs, orientation, or related higher education programming
- Demonstrated knowledge of student development theory and best practices in student affairs
- Proven expertise in event planning, coordination, and program management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across diverse constituencies, including students, families, faculty, and staff
- Ability to build and sustain collaborative working relationships within a multicultural environment
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, particularly during orientation periods and peak programming cycles
