Job Summary
Meet with the Director of Student Services and Early Childhood to represent the District as a case manager and liaison for students in out-of-district placements. Regularly attend and schedule IEP, evaluation, annual review, and manifestation determination meetings, while assisting in determining eligibility and developing individualized education plans for private placements. Facilitate student placements by arranging facility visits, transmittal of records, and special transportation, ensuring all specified programs are delivered. Maintain working relationships with out-of-district administrators and parents, support McKinney-Vento eligible families accessing community resources, and provide requested reports. Required Qualifications
- Illinois Public Educator License (PEL) with Administrative or Principal Endorsement
- License, certificate, or endorsement in one or more related fields of special education, including special education teacher or other related service area
- Comprehensive and current knowledge of IDEA, State and Federal education laws and regulations
