Job Summary
Provide academic and career guidance, assist with admissions, financial aid, course and degree selection, and course registration. Collaborate with various departments in Academic and Student Affairs, interpret placement and transcript information, and refer students to resources such as tutoring when necessary. Ensure students understand degree and graduation requirements while helping them navigate the college journey from enrollment to completion. This role reports to an administrator within the assigned area at the Pensacola State College Warrington Campus.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation with a bachelor's degree from an institution that holds accreditation recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and approved by the College
- Graduation with an associate degree from an institution that holds accreditation recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and approved by the College
- At least two years of relevant experience
- Successful results of a criminal background check
- Meeting the requirements of § 435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations
- Disclosure of any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application
Desired Qualifications
- Experience at the post-secondary level in a Student Services area
