Job Summary
Lead daily unit operations by overseeing workflows, supporting student staff, and ensuring consistent quality service across all stations. Complete opening and closing duties, manage administrative tasks, and conduct pre-shift meetings while coaching peers on Retail Dining standards. Anticipate operational needs, step in wherever support is required, and report equipment or guest concerns to management promptly. Attend mandatory trainings including Food Safety and Station Based courses. Work up to three shifts per week with a two-hour minimum, maintaining proper uniform and adhering to all policies.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

- Must be able to work at a fast pace
- Must be able to open or close the unit when class schedule allows
- Must be flexible and dependable with scheduling
- Must be able to maintain a schedule of up to 3 shifts per week
- Must be able to work a 2-hour minimum per shift
- Must be able to arrive on time
- Must be able to wear a Dining Services uniform shirt and IC hat each shift
- Must be able to follow all Dining Services policies, standard operating procedures, and Grubhub menu service and execution procedures
- Must be able to lead unit specific operations alongside management
- Must be able to oversee daily workflows
- Must be able to ensure efficient and consistent quality service
- Must be able to demonstrate flexibility to perform proficiently in all stations and areas within the assigned unit
- Must be able to maintain a consistent standard of quality in executing/preparing menu items to order
- Must be able to complete opening and closing duties accurately
- Must be able to check in with management at the beginning of each shift
- Must be able to receive operational updates and priorities
- Must be able to assist management with routine administrative duties
- Must be able to assign and adjust responsibilities throughout the shift
- Must be able to help lead pre-shift meetings as directed
- Must be able to lead station-specific training
- Must be able to support, coach, and continuously develop fellow student employees
- Must be able to onboard new hires to Retail Dining standards and daily procedures
- Must be able to attend Food Safety, Station Based, Student Management and other mandatory trainings assigned by management
- Must be able to anticipate operational needs
- Must be able to work within any unit specific station as needed
- Must be able to step in wherever support is needed without prompt from management
- Must be able to report equipment, product, guest, and operational concerns to management in a timely manner
