Job Summary
Greet and serve guests with a warm, friendly demeanor while preparing specialty beverages, sandwiches, and light menu items including Grubhub orders. Maintain open communication between kitchen and front-of-house, operate point-of-sale systems, and ensure all workstations remain stocked, clean, and sanitized throughout service. Follow food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures such as HACCP and knife safety, taking and recording temperatures at required intervals. Break down stations, assist with dining room setup, and support inventory processes as needed. Arrive on time in proper uniform, find coverage for unavailable shifts, and complete periodic safety trainings. Applicants must meet a 2-hour minimum per shift with availability for three scheduled shifts weekly.
Required Qualifications
- 2 hour minimum per shift
- availability for 3 scheduled shifts per week
- ability to stand, walk, bending, and lifting throughout the shift
- ability to operate café equipment
- ability to handle hot beverages
- ability to work around heat, noise, and busy guest traffic
- ability to wear the full café uniform, including closed-toed shoes and a hair covering (hat or hairnet)
- ability to attend/complete periodic safety trainings
