Job Summary
Limited-permit respiratory care student responsibilities include delivering small volume nebulizers, drawing arterial blood gases, maintaining artificial airways and mechanical ventilators, and providing respiratory therapies to patients from perinatal to geriatric under supervision. Develops competency in ABG machines, ventilator setup, and documentation in the EMR; participates in performance improvement activities; demonstrates customer service and teamwork, with adherence to the department’s standards of respect.
Required Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in an AMA approved school of Respiratory Care
- Limited Permit Holder in the state of Massachusetts in respiratory care
- Certification in basic life support
