Job Summary
SRT Leader collaborates with administration and staff to improve instructional outcomes for learners, coordinates building-based special education programs and services, coordinates problem-solving teams, facilitates IEP meetings compliant with IDEA and ISBE rules, and maintains accurate IEP databases and student records. Strong knowledge of special education regulations, facilitation skills, and ability to lead cross-functional teams are essential; duties include program coordination, meeting facilitation, and overseeing compliance and record-keeping.
Required Qualifications
- Current Illinois Teaching (PEL) Professional Educator Licensure with required endorsement (LBS1, Type 73 School Psychologist or School Social Worker)
- Knowledge of IDEA and ISBE Special Education Rules and Regulations and Procedural Safeguards
- Familiarity with IEP databases and technology
- Ability to facilitate problem solving teams and IEP meetings
- Leadership experience with ISBE
- Excellent verbal and written communication with staff and families
