Job Summary
Undergraduate Student Research Assistant to work alongside Fermilab staff in STEM/accelerator science to provide technical assistance on project-based tasks and research. Tasks include data analysis, assembly prototypes, calibration code and catalogs, test set-up and monitoring, contribution to facility operations, and application of modeling and simulation tools. Must be able to stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 50 lbs; role is onsite at Batavia, IL. Fixed-term or on-call arrangements with 6-month duration (20-40 hours/week) or <6 months with variable hours; eligibility for vacation/benefits applies for fixed-term with minimum hours. Emphasis on applying technical skills to defined scientific problems and complying with EH&S regulations. Equal opportunity employer.
