Job Summary
Marketing Manager (Student Recruitment) to lead and evaluate student recruitment marketing plans and campaigns for home and international undergraduate and postgraduate students; develop content informed by market insight with SEO principles; plan and oversee content across digital and print channels; commission and oversee data analysis and market research to inform messaging; collaborate with academic colleagues to identify subject strengths and develop marketing messaging; act as the Faculty lead on cross-University marketing initiatives and represent the Faculty at student recruitment events; manage a small team, oversee workload and staff development; liaise with Central Marketing, UK Student Recruitment and International Office to ensure aligned activity; flexible to work outside normal hours for Open Days; essential experience in marketing and student recruitment, content creation, and stakeholder management; degree or equivalent qualification required; this is a part-time, 29.6 hours per week (80% FTE) fixed-term role to 31 December 2027; location Newcastle (UK).
Required Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent level qualification
- Experience in marketing and/or student recruitment
- Experience developing and implementing marketing plans and campaigns
- Experience using data to report on marketing activities
- Experience managing/supervising a team of marketing and/or student recruitment professionals
- Excellent copywriting, editing and proof-reading skills
- Stakeholder management experience
- Experience in higher education marketing or student recruitment (advantageous)
- Willingness to work outside usual hours during key periods such as Open Days
