Job Summary
Develop reading instruction for targeted students based on identified needs and instruct small groups to improve literacy. Coach students on techniques and skills while collaborating with the Student Success Team to determine support strategies. Monitor progress for each student, share data with the team and families, and analyze readiness and benchmark testing results. Maintain accurate records of student accommodations and ensure students are placed in appropriate learning environments. Support the school's Catholic educational mission by modeling Gospel values and adhering to diocesan policies and codes of conduct.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education from an accredited university
- Must meet the minimum requirements for teaching field as set forth by the Diocese and TCCED
- Must submit an Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) Application for Ministry within the first week of employment
- Must participate in an EIM Basic abuse prevention training workshop within 60 days of submitting a complete Application for Ministry
- Must maintain EIM compliance during the entire term of employment
- Must complete Religion Certification Part 1 within two years of the date of hire
- Must complete a minimum of 25 hours per year of Religion Certification Part 1
Desired Qualifications
- Licensed reading therapist (C.A.L.T., W.D.T., etc.) or licensed reading practitioner (C.A.L.P., W.D.P,, etc.)
- At least three years teaching experience
