Student Radiologic Technologist - AART - PRN

Job Summary
Conduct basic radiologic studies using C-arm and portable equipment within the department, ED, or surgery suites while collaborating with the healthcare team under direct supervision. Employ sterile technique and protocol during procedures, obtaining billing data to ensure ordered procedures match diagnoses. Process positioning and anatomy knowledge to facilitate desired views per physician orders, operating within A.L.A.R.A radiation standards and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and JCAHO requirements. Maintain current Basic Life Support certification and actively pursue ARRT certification. Provide a safe environment by identifying health hazards and using protective equipment for self and others. Evaluate medical imaging quality and satisfaction to ensure regulatory standards are met.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an Associate's degree in Radiology or Radiologic Sciences program or a technical or vocational radiology sciences program approved by the JRCT
- Actively pursuing an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
- Maintains a current certification in Basic Life Support (If BLS verification is not current upon hire, it must be obtained within three (3) months of hire.)
- up to two years of work-related experience, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
