Job Summary
Supports student retention by proactively identifying at-risk students, providing timely outreach via phone, text, email, or in-person, offering coaching and resources to support success; documents interactions and ensures consistent follow-up; supports students returning from Leave of Absence and conducts SAP advising; participates in orientations, appeals/grievance committees, and campus retention meetings; identifies root causes of disengagement and collaborates with Deans, Program Directors, HR, Registrars, Financial Aid, Career Services, and Enrollment teams to resolve barriers; connects students with services (financial aid, tutoring, wellness) and follows through to ensure support is delivered; tracks, analyzes and reports outreach efforts and persistence trends to refine strategies; maintains visibility on campus as a first point of contact; ensures compliance with documentation, audit readiness, and accreditation standards; acts as liaison between campus and leadership to align retention efforts; requires regular in-person attendance on campus/on-site up to 5 days per week; remote options noted as in-person; collaborates cross-functionally to enhance student experience and satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
- 3+ years in student services, advising, admissions, or related support roles
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple student cases and maintain detailed documentation
- On-site attendance up to 5 days per week as essential function
- Experience with FERPA and accreditation standards
