Job Summary
Lead and shape a thriving ministry for students, college-aged adults, and young adults, creating a seamless pathway from student ministry into adult discipleship. Provide vision and leadership by equipping volunteers, developing leaders, and investing in students and their families. Build meaningful relationships with local schools and the surrounding community while developing creative outreach strategies. Plan and lead retreats, camps, conferences, mission trips, and special events that encourage spiritual growth and foster authentic community. Serve as a key member of the pastoral team, collaborating with the Senior Pastor and providing leadership to the Children's Director. Create engaging environments where students can grow in their faith, discover their gifts, and become leaders who influence their generation for Christ. Develop new discipleship opportunities that strengthen families and help young people remain connected to the church as they transition into adulthood.
Required Qualifications
- Relational, visionary leader who develops people, builds teams, and engages the community through outreach, schools, camps, retreats, and missions
- Spiritually mature, self-starting pastor aligned with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000, passionate about shepherding students, young adults, and families while collaborating with the pastoral staff
- Natural ability to earn trust
- Ability to love being with students and parents
- Vision that extends ministry beyond church walls into schools, games, and the community
- Collaborative leadership style that embraces the mission of the entire church rather than operating in a silo
- Ability to communicate vision with clarity
