Job Summary
School Food Service Worker at Taylor Mill Elementary: performs food preparation and serving for students, follows recipes, maintains safety and cleanliness in the kitchen, assists in daily cleanup, operates in the dish room or with dishwashing, stores or disposes of unused food, assists in storage of commodities, and supports meals service aligned with USDA standards; 4-hour shift (9:00am-1:30pm) with possible schedule changes; reports to the School Food Service Manager or the Director of Student Nutrition; requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced school environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma preferred
- Able to read and understand recipes
- Meets required physical examination
- Lift floor to table up to 50 pounds/lift table to chest up to 50 pounds
- Carry up to 50 pounds
- Climb up to 50 steps up/down
- Push/Pull up to 75 pounds
- Prolonged periods of standing
- Performance of responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
- Attends School Food Service meetings when possible
