Job Summary
Provide direct patient care standards within the Student Nurse Aide scope, including simple dressing changes, phlebotomy, PIV removal, and routine medication administration as delegated by the RN/LPN. Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges while explaining procedures to families. Respond to emergency or physically distressing situations and maintain documentation meeting current standards. Demonstrate flexibility and organization in a rapidly changing environment. Requires high school/GED, one year of clinical nursing experience, current enrollment in an accredited nursing program, and BLS certification. Full-time weekend third shift position at Huntsville Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- High School/GED
- Completed a minimum of one year of clinical experience within an academic nursing program
- Completed the following educational courses and clinical experience: Fundamentals of Nursing and Pharmacology including medication administration
- Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited Associated Degree, Diploma or Baccalaureate Professional Nursing Program
- Nursing graduates pending passage of the NCLEX
- BLS before the conclusion of the orientation period
