Job Summary
Assist nursing staff in patient care under direct supervision by performing assigned tasks, taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and delivering activities of daily living. Contribute to nursing care plan development, document patient responses and interventions, and monitor patient safety including one-on-one observation. Perform pre/post procedural care, wound care, and patient transfers while adhering to isolation precautions and infection control policies. Complete required continuous training, maintain clinical competency across all age groups, and collaborate with the forensic team for inmate care. Provide coverage for relief and absences as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in an approved nursing program (diploma, associate or bachelor degree in nursing)
- Must provide proof of continuous enrollment in an approved nursing program to maintain employment
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- At least 1 year experience
- Experience in patient care or equivalent on-the-job training as obtained through participation in an approved nursing program
- Qualified by education, training or experience to work with the neonate, infant, toddler, pre-schooler, school-age, adolescent, adult and/or geriatric patient population
