Job Summary
The Student Liaison serves as a support and resource for students and their progress. The role conducts intake interviews, analyzes attendance and discipline referrals, and coordinates referrals for early intervention. Works with parents/guardians and counselors to provide appropriate intervention to promote student success in school, career, and life. Responsibilities include documenting information on prescribed forms, running reports to identify students needing intervention, coordinating with district support staff to determine intervention methods, setting up counseling appointments, maintaining confidential student files, documenting interactions, and contributing to dropout prevention through data collection and timely follow-up. The position requires strong case management, communication, and organizational skills, with a focus on confidentiality and professional interactions with students, families, and school staff.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent; Associate's degree preferred; AND two years of experience in social work or related field; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Active Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card or obtain one within the first 90 workdays of employment.
