Job Summary
Facilitate simulation-based experiences and labs, including equipment maintenance, supply ordering, setup, and clean-up. Create and implement personalized remediation plans for students preparing for the NCLEX-RN exam and Next Generation NCLEX activities. Coordinate and supervise lab experiences while staffing open labs to provide individual oversight on technical nursing skills. Assist in developing clinically based scenarios for high-fidelity patient simulators and communicate student progress to academic leadership. Participate in outreach for at-risk student referrals and demonstrate service excellence standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing
- Maintenance of a current, unencumbered RN license
- BLS CPR
- BLS CPR instructor certification
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Education
- Master's Degree Nursing
- 1+ year year experience in an academic environment supporting classroom instruction or specialized tutoring support
- Excellent communication skills with proven ability to communicate via telephone, computer, and in person
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills
- Ability to work with individuals from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Must be a team player, willing to share and exchange
- ACLS and /or PALS
