Job Summary
Proctor exams for the LAS Office, ensuring security and confidentiality for students and faculty. Responsibilities include printing and returning tests, ensuring proper materials are available, arriving early to testing locations, guiding students through initial testing procedures, reading exam questions when called as an exam reader, and reporting cheating to the LAS Proctoring Coordinator and LAS Director. Proctors from any graduate programs are welcome to apply to cover varied schedules, with availability during midterms and finals week. Expected workload is 4-10 hours per week with variability based on test requests across the semester.
Required Qualifications
- Able to pick up and return tests
- Print exams using proper procedures
- Ensure exam security and confidentiality
- Arrive early to testing location
- Walk through initial testing procedures
- Report cheating behavior immediately
- Ability to read exam questions fluently and accurately as exam reader
- Proctors from any graduate programs welcome
- Availability to work during midterms and finals week
