Job Summary
Administer pharmacological, diagnostic, and therapeutic agents for respiratory care procedures under direct clinical supervision. Transcribe and implement physician orders while assessing and monitoring patient signs, symptoms, and physical responses to treatments. Recommend and implement appropriate respiratory care protocols based on observed abnormalities and treatment changes. Work as a student or trainee with a high school diploma and current enrollment in an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. Obtain BLS certification on hire and NRP, PALS, and ALS certifications within 30 days of graduation.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED
- Currently enrolled in a Respiratory Therapy program accredited by CoARC under CAAHEP or a successor organization
- Current BLS certification on hire or within the first 30 days of hire
- Will need to obtain NRP, PALS, and ALS certification within 30 days of graduation from an accredited respiratory therapy program
- Must obtain a temporary license to practice upon graduation until achieving the CRT or RRT credential
