Job Summary
Support site supervision with implementation and management of the Bird Safety Program. Develop site-specific safe work practices, procedures, and hazard assessments in collaboration with Project Management. Conduct regularly scheduled health and safety inspections, document findings on job sites, and follow up on corrective actions. Investigate workplace incidents and maintain statistics on accident frequencies and safety violations. Liaise with regulatory authorities, ensure trade contractor compliance, and lead safety meetings. Provide site-specific orientation to new workers and visitors, and perform first aid assessments. Complete a 4 or 8 month co-op starting September 2026 in Regina, SK.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in Health, Safety, and Environment diploma or equivalent program
- Will complete at least one more semester of education following internship
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Residency in Saskatchewan or a valid work permit which would allow you to work for Bird Construction or one of our wholly owned subsidiaries
- Ability to lead and operate within an environment where change happens frequently

- Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals
- Ability to work collaboratively with a positive attitude
