Job Summary
Process ISIRs, collect applicant data, and send correspondence to encourage prompt submission of missing information and verification procedures. Maintain entrance counseling compliance, master promissory notes, and annual student loan acknowledgments before fund disbursement. Review sub-loan levels, make adjustments, and provide a second review of all financial aid awards to ensure federal and state compliance. Assist students and families in filing the FAFSA annually and help them file alternative loans and scholarships. Meet prospective students and parents during campus tours to discuss financial aid procedures via in-person, virtual, telephone, or email channels. Complete tasks associated with acceptance, rejection, corrections, and updates to awards while updating in-process data reflecting aid pending on student tuition accounts.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree
- Two to three years of financial aid experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Articulate
- Friendly
- Professional appearance
- Computer experience
- Ability to maintain an orderly workspace
- Ability to withstand frequent interruptions
- Ability to relate well to people over the age of fifteen
- Customer service skills
- Technical office skills
- Willingness to provide students with support with a variety of campus issues
