Job Summary

The Student Financial Services Counselor provides comprehensive support to students and families throughout financial aid, registration, and payment processes. Essential responsibilities include delivering accurate information via workshops and individual appointments, maintaining knowledge of financial planning processes, analyzing student eligibility for financial aid, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The position entails collaborating with various departments to support student services and conducting financial aid presentations. Candidates must possess strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills. Experience in Higher Education and financial aid is preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in student accounts, financial aid, or other related office
  • Minimum of one (1) year of customer service/support experience within an office environment

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working in Higher Education strongly preferred
  • Experience in multiple areas of student services, such as Registrar, Bursar and Financial Aid, an asset
  • Experience working in student finance, financial aid or student accounts
