Job Summary
Part-time Student Financial Services Coordinator at Wentworth Institute of Technology supporting front desk operations and delivering high-quality customer service to students, families, faculty, and staff. Responsibilities include managing the front desk, answering inquiries by email/phone/in person, processing payments, and serving as the Military Educational Benefits & Certifying Official for GI Bill and related programs, ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations. Requires some evening hours and occasional weekend work; 20 hours/week; reports to the Associate Director of SFS. On-campus role in Boston, MA with collaboration across campus partners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1–3 years of customer service experience in higher education or equivalent
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Strong organizational, time-management, multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle frequent interruptions
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to build relationships across campus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and adaptability to new technologies
