Job Summary
Support development, monitoring, and troubleshooting of data pipelines and processes while assisting with automated hardware and software test procedures. Perform assembly, test, and validation of electrical hardware, and collaborate with engineers on ongoing projects through active participation in team meetings. Create and maintain documentation for testing, debugging, and issue resolution, applying fixes and proactively learning new tools to develop technical skills. Work independently and as a team member, utilizing strong written and verbal communication abilities. Requires Utah State University enrollment in engineering fields, familiarity with schematics, FPGAs, and Python/C/C++, and ability to work 15-20 hours weekly during semesters or up to 40 during summers. Must obtain DoD security clearance and hold U.S. citizenship.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Utah State University student pursuing a degree/certification in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field
- Must be able to work effectively; both independently and as a team member
- Good communications skills, both written and verbal are essential
- Must be able to work 15-20 hours per week during semesters and up to 40 hours per week during summers
- Must be able to obtain a DoW security clearance; eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship
Desired Qualifications
- Candidates should have some familiarity in one or more of the following: reading and understanding electronic schematics, hardware and software test and troubleshooting procedures, computer networking, working with and programming FPGAs, and programming in Python, C, C++, and/or JavaScript
- 3 years remaining in school
