Job Summary
Student Engagement Specialist duties include assisting teachers with monitoring the learning center and facilitating students’ learning progress; implementing instructional programs and lesson plans under supervisor guidance; assisting with understanding assessments; motivating students to maximize learning; facilitating activities that promote speaking, listening, reading, and writing in English; participating in faculty meetings and professional development; building student self-esteem and character; and performing special projects and other duties after hours as assigned. Requires strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills, comfort with technology and curriculum software, ability to travel, and alignment with Equal Opportunity Employment practices; location is Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED
- Associate’s Degree or Higher
- Two years of college study OR 60 college credit hours (Arkansas requirement)
- Pass Parapro Assessment with minimum 457 score (Arkansas)
- Experience working with students or parents as approved by employing superintendent
- 6+ months of experience in Public or Private School (preferred)
- Passion for children
- Basic knowledge of federal and state education laws
- Computer literate
- Strong organizational, time management, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to learn and implement teaching curriculum software programs
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to travel as necessary
- Be authorized to work in the U.S.
