Student Design Coordinator

Job Summary
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction professionals as part of integrated design-build teams to support design development. Assist in reviewing technical drawings and specifications. Participate in team meetings, take meeting minutes, contribute to project planning, coordination, and problem-solving discussions. Support in researching materials, construction techniques, and building codes to ensure compliance and quality in design. Assist in the preparation of project documentation, design reports, and presentations. Monitor design progress to ensure alignment with project requirements, schedule, and workplans, including tracking and documenting design changes. Support the maintenance of design schedules and coordinate the timely delivery of design team outputs. Take on additional responsibilities or tasks related to construction design as required. Residency, or a valid work permit which would allow you to work for Bird Construction or one of our wholly owned subsidiaries. All applications must include a current transcript. Exposure to real construction projects and design workflows; mentorship from experienced professionals in both design and construction; opportunities to contribute meaningfully to project outcomes; a supportive environment that values autonomy, creativity, and teamwork. The internship is based in Mississauga, ON, Canada and targets students enrolled in Architecture, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, or Industrial Engineering programs with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
