Job Summary
Complete the state certified nurse aide training program, a 20-day course requiring daily attendance from 8:00am to 4:00pm with no absences or tardiness permitted. Submit a completed application, valid photo identification, and Social Security Card for the Pre-Test, while authorizing a criminal background check and consultation with the Tennessee and/or National Abuse Registry. Maintain an 85 average grade to continue in the course and provide a $40 deposit for books and supplies, which is returned upon graduation. Wear navy blue scrubs to class; no facial piercings are allowed except for earrings by female students. Selection is based on facility need, entrance exam score, flexibility, and attitude rather than application timing.
