Job Summary
Conduct patient care activities commensurate with education and experience under direct supervision of credentialed clinical staff. Assist in coordination of team-based care, treatment plan development, and ongoing patient treatment while maintaining accurate documentation and meeting productivity requirements. Provide education to patients and families regarding diagnosis, services, and integrated health promotion, ensuring strict adherence to HIPAA and patient confidentiality. Complete two weeks of on-site orientation and engage in individual and group facilitation to build professional clinical skills for counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy roles. Maintain eligibility as a Counselor, Social Work, or Marriage & Family Therapy Trainee with active graduate program enrollment.
Required Qualifications
- Current active enrollment in a graduate level program & course requiring onsite direct patient interaction hours with a minimum of 1 clinical placement experience completed
- Must be in good standing with their academic institution and comply with all Signature Health policy and procedure
- Registered with the Ohio CSWMFT Board as a Counselor Trainee (CT), Social Work Trainee (SWT) or Marriage & Family Therapy Trainee (MFTT)
- Applicants not currently registered must be eligible for Trainee status on their start date
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Flexibility to work evenings and extended hours
- Adequate hearing to hear clients or patients in person, over the telephone or through telehealth technology
- Adequate speaking ability to speak to clients or patients in person, over the telephone or through telehealth technology
- Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens
- Ability to perform occasional lifting and carrying items weighing up to 15 pounds, unassisted
- Ability to perform frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting and sitting, with some lifting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular workday
- Sufficient dexterity to operate a PC and other office equipment
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily
- Ability to obtain an annual flu vaccination
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen
