Provide a safe and fun climbing environment for the IC community as a Climbing Wall Attendant. Responsibilities include enforcing safety policies, opening and closing the wall, conducting belay tests, overseeing climbers, checking equipment, maintaining records, and attending trainings. Expected behaviors include being cheerful and courteous while creating an inclusive atmosphere.
Required Qualifications
- Must be available evenings
- Ensure a pleasant climbing environment
- Act as a representative for Recreational Sports
- Maintain climbing wall appearance
- Enforce climbing wall safety policies
Additional Requirements
- Work shirts must be worn during your shift
- Other clothing should promote an inclusive and welcoming environment
- Never leave the wall area unattended while climbers are present
- Do not promote unsafe behavior such as free soloing
