Job Summary
Set up and execute live sound events on the DigiPen campus and occasionally at off-campus music events. Clean, maintain, secure, and organize music classrooms, sound labs, and recording studios. Assist music class professors as needed and oversee sound lab equipment checkout requests. Troubleshoot issues with sound lab and studio hardware and software. Maintain computer music workstations, including audio and MIDI peripherals, on both Mac and PC. Work evenings and weekends with a 20-hour weekly schedule from August 31, 2026, to April 30, 2027, at a rate of $17.13–$18.25 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Applicant MUST be a current student at DigiPen Institute of Technology
- Student must reside within the State of Washington
- Strong listening skills and musical ears
- Live sound reinforcement and sound mixing experience
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to lift more than 40 pounds
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
- Currently a Matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology
- Good Academic Standing – not on Academic Warning
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
Desired Qualifications
- Audio engineering experience with a desire to learn new skills and technologies
- Experience maintaining hardware and software for both Mac and PC computers
- Experience maintaining computer music workstations, including audio and MIDI peripherals
- Ability to remain calm and focused in stressful situations
- Live sound reinforcement and sound mixing experience is a strong plus
