Job Summary
Provide first-level technical support to faculty, staff, and students for hardware, software, and network-related issues. Assist with classroom and office technology maintenance, performing routine checks, troubleshooting audiovisual equipment for events, and tracking IT inventory. Help prepare user manuals and conduct training sessions to improve technology adoption while following department policies for security and compliance. This role requires a full-time SFBU student with basic computer system knowledge, working 1 to 4 days a week for 4 to 5 hours. Salary ranges from $18 to $22 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Be a full time student at SFBU
- Have a high school diploma
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, Google Mail, Google Calendar, and Google Docs
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude
- Providing excellent customer service
- Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and troubleshooting
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
- Physical demands may include lifting up to 40lbs, bending, and sitting
- The employee is occasionally required to sit or stand for long periods
- This position will be 1 to 4 days a week for 4 to 5 hours a day
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in an IT support role (preferred but not required)
