Job Summary
In this Student opportunity within the Asset Integrity group, you’ll perform quality assurance tasks, analyze in-line inspection data, and participate in threat reviews. You’ll support ongoing integrity programs (Cathodic Protection, Internal Corrosion, Geotechnical, In-line Inspection and digs, Fatigue management, Facility) and ensure adherence to regulations and industry standards. Typical deliverables include reconciling data discrepancies, updating specifications and standards, assisting in integrity digs, generating tracking spreadsheets, recording meeting activities with vendor partners and internal teams, and conducting technical research. You’ll participate in threat reviews, risk assessments, and technical presentations, and support the completion of technical decision documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Legally authorized to work in Canada full-time for the duration of the work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa)
- Available to begin work in September 2026
- Basic understanding of engineering principles, with a focus on system design and facility operations
- Ability to interpret and apply industry standards and regulations in engineering tasks
- Basic skills in managing project tasks, including cost estimation, scheduling, and reporting
- Education must be enrolled in a Mechanical, Chemical or related Engineering Program at an accredited post-secondary institution and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term
- Candidates currently enrolled in either a master’s or Ph.D. program may also be considered
