Job Summary
Provide individual and family counselling to students and their families within primary school settings across multiple campuses, design and facilitate therapeutic and psychoeducational group programs, and deliver professional learning to school staff. Maintain high clinical and administrative standards in line with program policies and adhere to child safety and family-centred practice. Roles include engaging with students, families and school staff to support wellbeing, build resilience, and support crisis response where needed. The position requires current NSW Working with Children Check and National Police Check, and a valid driver’s licence. This part-time role involves working at St Joseph's Adelong, St Mary's Batlow, and St Patrick's Gundagai (approximately 1 day per week at each site).
Required Qualifications
- Qualifications in Social Work (eligible for AASW membership), or registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA, or a degree in Counselling with ACA or PACFA (Level 3 or 4) registration
- Experience delivering evidence based therapeutic interventions to children, young people and families
- Strong understanding of issues impacting children and families, and approaches that support wellbeing and recovery
- A demonstrated commitment to child safety and family centred practice
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with schools and community partners
- The ability to respond appropriately to crisis situations and support students with complex needs
- Current driver's licence
- Valid NSW Working with Children Check
- Current National Police Check
