Job Summary
Student Advocate responsibilities include managing a caseload of ~20–30 students across grade levels, developing individualized success plans focusing on academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals, conducting weekly check-ins, tracking attendance/grades/behavior, and providing 1:1 and small group advisement. Additional duties involve strengthening family–school relationships through home visits and parent meetings, advocating for students in collaboration with counselors and staff, participating in IEP/504 meetings, supporting truancy prevention and transitional readiness, and guiding students toward postsecondary pathways with resources on internships, mentoring, and work-based learning. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience with youth and families, bilingual English/Spanish, and the ability to pass a background check.
