Job Summary
Coordinate Behavioral and Mental Health Interventions across the district, supporting early behavioral health identification, school safety, and coordinated case management.Responsibilities include facilitating referrals to counseling, mentoring, and small-group supports; collaborating with local behavioral health providers and community services; analyzing attendance, discipline, and performance data to detect early warning signs; developing transition/support plans for students returning from restrictive settings; building partnerships with external agencies; maintaining up-to-date local partner contacts and resources; and delivering Tiered Behavioral Health Training and Support (Universal, Targeted, and Intensive). The role emphasizes data-driven decision-making, MTSS alignment, and ongoing communication with families, school staff, and state partners; mandatory trainings with GEMA/HS, DBHDD, and the Department of Education are required.
Required Qualifications
- Standard Professional certificate in School Social Work or School Counseling (GA PSC-accepted)
- Master of Social Work (MSW) or School Counseling degree from a GA PSC-accepted accredited institution OR state-approved certification preparation program at master’s level OR valid State of Georgia MSW/Clinical Social Worker license
