Job Summary
Monitor student attendance daily, make calls to verify absence reasons, and encourage return to class while emphasizing satisfactory academic progress. Enter notes in the computer system to backup handwritten documentation for SAP failures, leave requests, and withdrawal explanations. Serve as backup to the Registrar for posting grades, attendance, and status changes. Schedule and inform students of meetings with the Appeals and Reinstatement Committees. Prioritize student retention and satisfaction through face-to-face interactions with students and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree preferred, or a minimum of two years of related experience and/or training
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and strong student focus to inspire, engage, and coach potential students
- Proven self-starter who continually pursues learning opportunities
- Must be able to successfully pass a criminal history check and drug test
