Student Accounts Representative

Job Summary
Assist students and families with tuition and fees structure, audit rates and room and board rates; counsel on payment, withdrawal and refund policies and explain how the University’s payment plan works; interpret financial aid packaging and its impact on student statements; advise on third-party payees’ payments (e.g., 529 plans, Florida Prepaid, Sponsored Payments); record and deposit receipts daily; verify and balance card transactions; audit student accounts during registration; perform general clerical duties (scanning, phones); coordinate with other campus offices; contribute to a diverse, respectful workplace while developing skills to engage with people from different backgrounds.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma required; some college preferred
- 12 months of cash handling experience
- Two (2) years’ experience in customer service
- Efficient typing and 10-key skills
- Strong computer skills required, including Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent oral, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to establish priorities and manage time wisely
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of or the ability to learn quickly The University of Tampa software programs such as Workday and Microsoft Office
- Willingness to embrace new technologies and innovative organizational practices
