Student Accountability Coordinator - NC Connections

Job Summary
Coordinate and create all school testing plans adhering to state timelines, policies, and ethical codes while working from home, the Durham office, or on-location at various testing sites. Train school staff on test security, accommodations, and procedures; monitor and submit testing accommodations in state systems; and develop individual testing plans for each window. Work with NCDPI to order materials, coordinate proctors and venues, and manage staff travel, including overnight trips. Serve as a homeroom teacher for high-risk students, supervise instructional staff, and deliver test prep courses as a Teacher of Record. Analyze performance data to identify improvement areas, develop instructional strategies, and prepare reports on test results and school characteristics. Maintain student records, communicate regularly with families and learning coaches, and support school meetings and community activities. Full-time teacher shift from 8am to 4pm Monday through Friday with occasional evening availability. North Carolina residency and teaching license preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina Teaching License
- North Carolina residency
- Strong organizational, logistical, and problem-solving skills
- Proven track record of successful support of state testing administration in a virtual environment
- Ability to learn, effectively use, and navigate state testing, assessment, and student information and reporting systems
- A valid driver's license or state-issued identification card
- Availability to work full-time teacher shift from 8am - 4pm, Monday through Friday
- Strong interpersonal skills which include the ability to work effectively with students, parents, staff, and community members from diverse backgrounds
- Strong technology skills (especially in Google Suite)
- Demonstrated ability to create a positive, equitable, and student-centered environment

- Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Willingness and ability to travel for school-based meetings, training, graduation, field trips, and state testing events (will require overnight travel)
