Job Summary
Layout, fabricate, assemble, mate, install, check, troubleshoot, and repair production and prototype aircraft structures, parts, and mechanical assemblies. Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine operation methods, then coordinate hole patterns, cutouts, and trim lines using precision instruments. Attach structural parts via riveting and power tools, drill, route, and modify assemblies for mold line or configuration changes. Incorporate major engineering modifications and perform experimental work on aircraft or assemblies. Maintain a clean work area and coordinate with multiple departments. This role supports Flexjet's innovative in-house maintenance facility for private aircraft in St. Louis, MO, requiring rotating 4-on/3-off 12-hour shifts and an A&P certificate.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years heavy structural experience
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience with various types of aircraft, power plant maintenance and inspections
- Working knowledge of rigging and installation of operating mechanisms structures, assemblies and parts, related systems and equipment, and assembly shop practices
- Requires excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to effectively coordinate with multiple departments
- Planning and organizational skills necessary
- Computer experience in Microsoft Office software products
- Ability to pass background check and achieve airport badge
- Must be available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be available to work rotating 4 days on and 3 days off 11 to 12-hour shifts
Desired Qualifications
- Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate desired, not required
