Structures Technician (SUS)

Job Summary
Layout, fabricate, assemble, mate, install, check, or troubleshoot and repair production and prototype aircraft structures, parts, and mechanical assemblies. Read blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine methods and sequences for installing precision parts. Use precision measuring instruments to coordinate hole patterns, cutouts, and mating points. Attach structural components using riveting and power tools, drill, route, and modify parts to mold line changes. Perform experimental work operations and incorporate major engineering modifications while maintaining a clean work area. Present a neat workspace to customers and execute other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years heavy structural experience
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience with various types of aircraft, power plant maintenance and inspections
- Working knowledge of rigging and installation of operating mechanisms structures, assemblies and parts, related systems and equipment, and assembly shop practices
- Requires excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to effectively coordinate with multiple departments
- Planning and organizational skills necessary
- Computer experience in Microsoft Office software products
- Ability to pass background check and achieve airport badge
- Must be available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Rotating 4 days on and 3 days off 11 to 12-hour shifts
Desired Qualifications
- Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate desired, not required
